ABOUT
Ready to explore the world of Mechanical Engineering? Join us for an exciting 3-hour workshop where Junior Girl Scouts will dive into hands-on STEAM fun while earning key requirements! Each hour will focus on a different design challenge, allowing girls to problem-solve, build, and think like real engineers. Join us for this exciting 3-in-1 Badge Engineering workshop designed especially for Juniors on Sunday, October 19, from 1–4 PM!
🛞 Hour 1: Balloon Car Challenge
Start your engines! Scouts will explore force and motion as they design, build, and test balloon-powered cars. Can your vehicle travel the farthest?
🏗️ Hour 2: Crane Design Challenge
Lift it, move it, build it! Girls will collaborate to design and construct working cranes that can lift small objects, learning about simple machines and structural strength along the way.
🚤 Hour 3: Paddleboat Design Challenge
Time to make waves! In this final challenge, scouts will build their paddleboats using a variety of materials to discover the principles of buoyancy and propulsion.
By the end of the workshop, girls will have acquired new STEAM and problem-solving skills, increased creative confidence, and gained an understanding of the design process.
Notes: Registration closes on 10-12-25! You may purchase badges on the GSNETX website.
